About us

Clover Kennels is a reputable, ethical English cocker spaniel breeder located in Wellington, New Zealand.

Clover Kennels was founded in 2019, with our much-loved purebred golden English cocker spaniel, Clover. But one gorgeous cocker spaniel is never enough, and we were unable to find available litters at the time. So we bred Clover and we welcomed her daughter Manuka to our whanau.

Seeing the joy Manuka's siblings brought to their new owners, we have researched, studied and taken lots of advice in order to keep the line going. Clover is now retired from breeding and is loving being a grandma (and our matriarch pet).

Manuka is now also retired after her 3 litters but we continue the line. We are a boutique, ethical breeder so all our dogs are pets first and foremost. All our breeding dogs are DNA tested and will not produce offspring with avoidable genetic issues.

Our dogs are not re-homed. They are co-owned and brought back to breed. We breed each female a maximum of 3 times from 2 years+. They are then spayed and live their life with the family who has had them since a pup.
